Please read the terms and conditions specified below carefully prior to purchasing an air balloon flight or tour with Turkey Balloons Cappadocia (turkeyballoonscappadocia.com), operated by Tatildokya Travel Agency (Türsab #14620), by using our online channels. These terms and conditions apply to all bookings, regardless of the sales channel used. By using our website, you warrant and assert that you are legally eligible to enter into binding contracts and are responsible for all payments incurred as a result of your booking.
1. PAYMENT
1.1. By using our website to make your payment, we acknowledge that the cardholder used in the reservation has approved this payment. After purchase, your reservation is submitted to Turkey Balloons Cappadocia for review and approval.
1.2. Turkey Balloons Cappadocia reserves the right to confirm or cancel your reservation. Our officials will contact you after your reservation is confirmed. If your reservation is not confirmed, it may take 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your credit card statement, depending on your bank's processing time.
2. PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF SERVICE
2.1. Pick-up and drop-off times are subject to change based on seasonal conditions and operational flow. Customers will be contacted by email or phone the day before their scheduled flight or tour.
2.2. Based on estimations of travel distances, pick-up times are scheduled by our expert operators and communicated in good faith. However, route traffic and regional one-way systems may occasionally cause slight delays. Since such delays are beyond the reasonable control of the company, Turkey Balloons Cappadocia will not be liable for any inconvenience incurred under these circumstances.
3. CUSTOMER’S PROPERTY
3.1. The company accepts no responsibility for any lost, damaged, or stolen luggage and personal belongings during transfers, flights, or tours.
4. CURRENCY CONVERSION
4.1. Turkey Balloons Cappadocia’s currency converter utilizes daily Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) exchange rates. Online payments are supported in the following currencies:
Turkish Lira (TL)
US Dollar (USD)
Euro (EUR)
4.2. If your local currency is not supported as an eligible payment method on our website, your bank may impose additional currency conversion fees on your total payment and refunds. We are not liable to pay compensation for potential deductions associated with currency conversion fees.
4.3. If the value of the currency used when booking declines after conversion, you may incur a foreign exchange loss when receiving a refund. In such cases, we are not responsible for compensating any losses due to currency fluctuations.
5. CANCELLATION AND REFUND RULES
5.1. Turkey Balloons Cappadocia reserves the right to cancel any flight at any time without prior notice if prevailing conditions constitute risks to flight safety. If your balloon flight or tour is canceled due to unsafe weather conditions determined by aviation authorities or our operations team, we offer 3 options:
A full 100% refund of your original ticket, OR
An alternative flight the day after your original scheduled flight (subject to seat availability), OR
A ticket for the same flight type of your original booking at a later date of your choosing (subject to seat availability).
5.2. If you voluntarily cancel your flight or tour, you will be subject to cancellation charges. To be eligible for a refund, you must send your cancellation request via email to booking@turkeyballoonscappadocia.com. Cancellation charges vary according to the time notice provided:
5.3. All refunds are made through the original payment method and issued in the currency used when booking. Under normal circumstances, we immediately process refunds upon receiving a valid cancellation request. Depending on the bank's processing time, it can take anywhere from 5–10 business days for the refund to show up on your credit card statement. If you have not received your refund after 10 business days, please contact our accounting department via email at booking@turkeyballoonscappadocia.com.
5.4. When we are prevented from providing part of your flight or tour, or when any disruption occurs due to unusual and unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, Turkey Balloons Cappadocia is not liable to pay compensation, even if all due care has been taken. These circumstances include:
Unexpected weather changes
Emergency landings
Perceived security threats
Technical problems
Terrorist or threatened terrorist activities
Natural or nuclear disasters
6. AGE, HEIGHT, AND WEIGHT LIMITS
6.1. These limits are strictly enforced to avoid potential safety hazards and ensure all passengers' comfort:
Age: Children under 5 years of age are not allowed to participate in hot air balloon flights. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Height: Passengers must be at least 1.4 meters tall and physically able to adopt the mandatory landing position when needed.
Weight: We may require passengers over 120 kg to pay a supplement to ensure basket weight and balance safety.
Other Limits: We are unable to carry passengers past the 6th week of pregnancy. While we strive to accommodate all guests, because hot air balloons are not wheelchair-accessible aircraft, we regrettably cannot fly with passengers who have mobility impairments requiring a wheelchair.
7. LEGAL TRADEMARK & COPYRIGHT NOTICE
7.1. All materials contained on this website and mobile site are protected by copyrights, trademarks, and/or other intellectual property rights. These materials include, but are not limited to, trademarks, text, trade dress, designs, photographs, articles, software, graphics, marketing slogans, and visual and verbal content. All rights are reserved worldwide; content cannot be reproduced, published, or disseminated across other media platforms by third parties without explicit written permission.
8. RIGHT OF SEARCH
8.1. If suspicious behavior is observed, physical searches may be conducted by our ground operations crew for safety and security purposes. All searches are conducted on reasonable grounds in a manner allowable and required by Turkish law.
9. CONDITIONS OF CARRIAGE
9.1. Regardless of the type of flight or tour, the following items are strictly prohibited on board:
Large suitcases and bulky bags
Guns, firearms, flammable items, and explosive materials
Sharp objects
Hazardous chemicals
10. RIGHT OF CONDUCTING JOINT FLIGHT
10.1. A ticket purchased from Turkey Balloons Cappadocia (turkeyballoonscappadocia.com) for a balloon flight or regional tour may be operated in partnership with trusted, certified partner balloon or tour operators under the umbrella of Tatildokya Travel Agency.
