Distance Sales Agreement

1. General Terms

Please read the following terms carefully before purchasing a hot air balloon flight, tour or related service through Turkey Balloons Cappadocia. For reservations made through the website, the visitor and the person making the purchase are deemed to have accepted the provisions of this agreement.

The person using the website declares that they are legally authorized to make a binding transaction and that they are responsible for the payment obligations arising from the reservation.

2. Payment and Reservation

Once a payment is made through the website, it is accepted that the cardholder used for the reservation has approved the payment. After the payment is completed, the reservation is submitted for confirmation by Turkey Balloons Cappadocia.

Turkey Balloons Cappadocia reserves the right to confirm or cancel the reservation. After the reservation is confirmed, the necessary information will be provided to you by email or phone.

If the reservation is not confirmed, the refund process will be initiated. Depending on the bank’s processing time, it may take 5 to 10 business days for the amount to be reflected back on the card.

3. Transfer Service

Pick-up and drop-off times may vary. Before the planned flight or tour date, the customer will be informed by email or phone.

Transfer times are determined in good faith by considering road distance and operational planning. However, minor delays may occur due to traffic density, one-way road applications or similar reasons. Turkey Balloons Cappadocia cannot be held responsible for such situations beyond the company’s reasonable control.

4. Personal Belongings

The company is not responsible for lost, forgotten or stolen luggage and personal belongings. Participants are advised to carry their valuable belongings under their own personal responsibility.

5. Currency Conversion

Currency conversion calculations shown on the website may be based on the daily exchange rates announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye. Supported currencies for online payments may include Turkish Lira (TRY), United States Dollar (USD) and Euro (EUR).

If your local currency is not supported by the system, your bank may apply an additional currency conversion fee on the total payment or refund amount. The company is not responsible for such bank-related deductions.

If the currency used during the reservation loses value afterwards, an exchange rate difference may occur during the refund process. No additional compensation may be claimed for differences arising from exchange rate fluctuations.

6. Cancellation and Refund Terms

6.1. Cancellation due to weather conditions or safety

Turkey Balloons Cappadocia reserves the right to cancel a flight without prior notice in weather or operational conditions that may risk flight safety. In such a case, one of the following options is offered to the customer:

• Full refund of the paid amount,
• Alternative reservation for the next day, subject to availability,
• New reservation for the same flight type on a future date, subject to availability.

6.2. Cancellation by the customer

If the flight or tour is cancelled by the customer, the cancellation request must be sent by email to info@turkeyballoonscappadocia.com.

6.3. Refund process

All refunds are made through the payment method and currency used during the payment. Under normal conditions, the refund process is initiated after the cancellation request is received. Depending on the bank’s processing time, it may take 5 to 10 business days for the refund to be reflected on the card.

6.4. Force majeure and extraordinary circumstances

The company is not obliged to pay compensation if part of the service cannot be provided due to extraordinary and unforeseeable circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

• Unexpected weather changes
• Situations requiring emergency landing
• Security threats
• Technical failures
• Terrorism or threat of terrorism
• Natural disasters or nuclear risks

7. Age, Height and Weight Restrictions

The following restrictions are applied to ensure both flight safety and the comfort of all passengers.

Age

Children under the age of 5 are not accepted on hot air balloon flights. Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Height

The participant is expected to be at least 1.40 meters tall and physically capable of taking the landing position when necessary.

Weight

For participants over 120 kg, an additional fee or additional operational planning may be required.

Other restrictions

Passengers who are more than 6 weeks pregnant are not accepted on flights. Since hot air balloons are not wheelchair-accessible aircraft, flight service may not be available in some physical disability cases.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

All texts, images, designs, software, slogans, marketing content and other materials on the website and mobile platforms are subject to copyright, trademark rights and other relevant intellectual property protections.

These contents may not be copied, published or used on other platforms by third parties without permission.

9. Right of Search

When deemed necessary for security and operational reasons, a reasonable physical search may be carried out by ground service personnel. This practice is performed within the framework of applicable legislation and safety rules.

10. Transport Conditions

Regardless of the flight type, the following items are not allowed in the basket or operation area:

• Large suitcases and bulky bags
• Weapons, flammable and explosive materials
• Sharp or piercing tools
• Hazardous chemical substances

11. Partner Operation Right

Balloon flight or tour services purchased through Turkey Balloons Cappadocia may be carried out by contracted partner balloon or tour operators as part of operational planning.
